Tips on Removing Loose Green Tea Stains

Posted under Loose Green Tea by Jenna

baking soda and vinegar Tips on Removing Loose Green Tea Stains Constant drinking of your preferred loose green tea or other types of tea can leave its mark on your mug.  Loose green tea or any tea leaves stain most things and with regular use, the resulting discolor does build up. Some people would quickly resort to harsh chemicals but there are some less harmful ways to fight the stains. Some effective cleaners are baking soda, vinegar or salt.

Using these more natural cleaners, get an old tooth brush (one that you don’t use!), pour around a teaspoon of the soda or vinegar in the mug and brush, especially in those hard to get areas. The resulting stain-free mug will amaze you and you’ll discover how easy it is to keep your mug clean.

If those cleaners work, why not tooth paste? The simple logic is that if the tooth paste can remove the stain from your pearly whites, then it should be good enough for your mug too.

If you totally want to avoid the drama of vigorous scrubbing in the first place, try drinking that cup of loose green tea in a single sitting and then immediately wash it after. Maintain its mint condition by just applying soda maybe once a week. This way you completely avoid your mug from getting dis-colored and a chance for the stain to build up.
