Bring out the Spiced Christmas Blooming Tea
Posted under Blooming Tea by Jenna
Dashing through the snow can be cold (not to mention exhausting) so come into the parlor sweet thing and enjoy a nice, warm spiced cup of Christmas Blooming Tea. We’re all hearing about how cold it gets in the northern hemisphere this time of year and warming up with Spiced Christmas tea can be welcoming.
Christmas Blooming Tea
While any type of tea will do, the recipe listed below is a great one for that left-over blooming tea you may have from the dinner the night before.
Ingredients:
1 quart of your favorite flowering tea
1 quart of orange juice
1quart apple juice
1 quart cranberry juice
1 cup of sugar
1 orange – sliced
1 lemon – sliced
10 whole cloves
3 cinnamon sticks
Directions:
- Combine the tea with the three juices (orange, apple and cranberry) in a pan.
- Add the cloves, cinnamon and sugar.
- Sprinkle the sliced orange and lemon on top.
- Let the spiced concoction simmer for about 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and strain.
- Pour the Spiced Christmas Blooming Tea in a mug, add a cinnamon stick if preferred.
- Serve this wonderfully creative Christmas brew and enjoy in front of the fire with loved ones.
